A Word Book can be however you want to make...it is entirely up to you and your creativity. What words do you want for the WB? You can have FAMILY with one letter on each page and the last page can have the word VACATION vertically.

Sky's the limit with SCAL...Inkscape makes it even better.

Susan is the tutorial specialist. Have you checked her site to see if there is already a tutorial there.

Actually, word books are easy. They are just squares welded to alphabets with each letter page longer than the one before it. Say you first letter is welded to a 4 inch square...the square for the next letter page would be the length of the square plus the letter so you will be able to see the second letter...and so on.

This word book was made vertical because the words were long. Of course, you could have just done VBS but dare to be different. This was created in Inkscape. I do all my work in Inkscape because it is not and limited as SCAL.

Susan does have a tut on her site but she uses the Cricut software to do it.

I saw a great word book tutorial on the my crafty life website, he is so awesome, I have learned more from him and susan blue robot. If it hadn't been for those two i would have thrown my laptop in the pool, I was so frustrated. Google My Crafty Life he is also know on this forum as dan99.blogspot.com
