bride favor box

Post by louietw »

Ok, so I traced this picture on paper of what I want, but haven't figured out how to make it in scal or svg. Here is the original template that I found, but I kind of modified it for the second picture. I tried to use a scalloped heart for the top and that works but not sure how to get the curves in it. 2.5 x 1.5 x 4 overall.

Well as you probably figured out by now, there's a lot more to it than tracing if you don't have a clean shape. I pretty much redrew the dress and then I traced your "box" part with the pen tool. I then duplicated the dress a couple of times, lined them up with the box part using the alignment option and then did a union. With the extra dress I had, I used the division option to cut the bottom of the dress off. If you want, you can use that to create the layered look in the picture. HTH

thank you so much, wasn't sure i was on the right track. I tried to take it apart, but with the embossing, it had too much noise. i've gotten pretty good about taking things apart, but not boxes. I love playing with this stuff, but not lots of time. Thanks again
