scallop (half circle) border 12"

I am looking for a scalloped (half circle) border that can be cut up to 12". Just the border not a frame.
.
Also is there a tutorial on how to move shapes in a straight line all across the mat? Then I could Maybe!!! make my own. I need a SCAL book for Dummies!

Is this what you are looking for? I did them in Inkscape since I don't know how to do it easily in SCAL.

Or this...? I did them in Inkscape also. I took a whole scalloped circle, drew a rectangle around half then selected both the rectangle and circle and selected division.

You can also do this similarly in SCAL. After you have both selected, go up to Path, then select intersection.

Thank you for your helpful and prompt replies. I will save these, however my description was misleading. I need a straight edge on one side and scalloped on the other in a strip that I can adjust the width and length of the strip upto 12 inches long.

Maybe this is more of what you want? Even though these have hearts and circles, you can always break them apart and delete them.

Yes that is what I am looking for but I do not know how to break apart and delete!!

Always something to learn and I am teachable!!!!! So any help will be appreciated - simple words and sentences please.

Right in SCal go under the Object column at the top of your page .. First select your svg.. the go to Object and break apart is right in that column..
