From what I have been reading in these posts, I may be able to type something in MS Word or Publisher and than put it onto the SCAL program and print it. Is that correct? I have Windows Vista but not sure of the Word/Publisher version of I have. Either from 2007 or 2009. Can anyone give me directions (easy ones I hope) on how I can go about doing this. I am looking forward to doing more things with this program than I have been doing.
Thank you for your help

Re: MS Word/Publisher
Use the snipping tool to save a screen shot of your image in word or publisher. Open SCAL2 and then import the screen shot and trace. HeatherM has a great tutorial on tracing.

If you don't have SCAL2 and have to use Inkscape, then I prefer the print to PDF technique because you maintain the vectors that Word/Publisher generate.
