Mailing Tube

Post by talanhart »

I cut a wall decal for a friend of mine. I wanted to mail it in a mailing tube, but I didn't want to buy one, so I made one out of paper tube from a roll of vinyl. To get the ends to fold correctly, I took a Craft knife and pushed the tip into the cardboard to make 2 perforated half circles on each end. The ends folded in nicely and I had a mailing tube.

Its about the same gauge steel you would see in a soup can. Way more than you need to hold a mailing tube together.
