Craft Edge

Hey guys hope someone can help. I'm cutting a project which is 34 x 17 inches and the software cutting status bar is obnoxiously slow! I cut 8.5 x 11 quick with no problems. It's been sitting for like an hour at less than a quarter of the way. Is this normal? What gives?!

What computer OS, version of SCAL, on what cutter? It is also possible the file is too large in in size and your memory cannot accommodate it. How many KB's is it.
