Nebie question ... How to make frames with curved corners

Post by deborahdwiebe »

Hello

I was wondering how to make a frame with curved corners? Loving your software but just a little stumped with corner curves..

Thank you in advance

I would use the 6th shape over in the basic shapes library and then change it to the size that I wanted. I'm sure there are better ways but that strikes me as a really simple way.

On the Tools Panel (left side) the 9th icon from the top that looks like a rectangle can also be used by first holding down your left mouse button on that icon and then, from the popup menu, selecting the rounded rectangle icon. Thne just drag your mouse on the screen to create it

From there you can use the Shadow function (Effects>Shadow Layer) to make the outside rounded rectangle rectangle at the desired size.

Then select both rectangles and apply Object>Merge to turn it into a frame.
