Good luck. I have asked this question till I am blue in the face. Everyone gives me links to tutorials but those tutorials are just to get the machine registered and started. There are no tutorials to walk one through this machine. I have had mine for a month and still have not been able to make a card. I wish I had known that there is no help before I bought this machine.
They say the tutorials will work for this machine but they are dead wrong. My programs have different buttons than the earlier Scal programs so all the tutorials do not work for this machine. I have more questions everyday and still my posts just set there unanswered. Today I left another one like a fool. I have a lot more questions, but since I can't get the few I have answered, I quit asking.
One lady did call me and walk me through what was wrong with the machine and we decided I had my knife out to far.
I go to Youtube and type Scal tutorials and find a lot of information, but I still cannot take a jpeg or a png and turn it into a SVG that works. Sure it saves it as an svg, but it cuts wrong, way wrong. Nobody will answer that question either.
I even went to facebook and joined Scal world wide. I left a question there, but I am not holding my breath. Upset and worn out. Becky

Thanks beckylouwho, I have seen your posts and was hoping for more info too. I feel like they really didn't want you to buy the machine with SCAL. You sound like you know more than I do at least, i have never had a cutting machine ever before!. I just wasted a whole sheet of vinyl trying to cut a monogram and it lifted up parts all through it. I even tried adjusting the blade and pressure like i read to in another post. I'll keep trying since I paid a lot of money for this machine opposed to getting the Silhouette that has lots of tutorials.

Bosskut, we don't just need tutorials about SCAL, we need them for SCAL with the Gazelle, just like your tutorials for Funtime with the Gazelle. Is this not possible because it is proprietary software?

Perhaps you need to go to the machine manufacturer's direct. I personally don't have this machine and most of the responses you will get here are from those that use SCAL and know the features of the software, but they are not generally machine specific responses.

I know that doesn't help you much, but looking for a Gazelle support group or forum might be a better option.

Following Scal tutorials is all you really need to do, then send it to your bosskut to cut. There are tons of tutorials on how to use Scal on YouTube. I've had my bosskut for 5 years now, and Scal has made it much easier to use than the Funtime software. I know it was April when you posted this and hopefully you have been able to use your machine and not given up on it.
