Can anyone share what program you use for font management? I would really like one that is free.

Thanks.

I am familiar with 2 of them AMP Font Viewer http://www.ampsoft.net/utilities/FontViewer.php which I use and LOVE! There is also another called The Font Thing http://members.ozemail.com.au/~scef/tft.html that others use. I had problems with it but others have had great success with it.

Re: Font management- ACDSee more then just a font manager

Try using ACDSee

Here is a screen capture and tuturial to see it in action, to view your fonts. You don't have to install your fonts into windows you can leave them in your folder and just open the font folder when you want to use it.

What I like about this program over just a regular font organizer is you can use this program to organize your pictures, digital scrapbook elements, fonts, Cut files etc. You can even organize images stored on CDs, DVDs, and external hard drives without copying them to your computer. ACDSee helps you keep copies of your images so you don’t lose them if your computer fails. You can unzip the file right in this program so you can stay within one program for everything. You can also program it to open your photo editor when you click edit. This makes creating digital scrapbook pages quick and easy. It brings each element into your photo editor to keep adding to your page creation. I could go on and on about this program so take a look at the tutorial so you can see it. Visually seeing a program makes it so much easier.

It is a very great program to use and I have used a lot of organizer type programs and this one by far is the best.
I use it above tags in adobe photoshop, it is much faster. You can customize your categories.

This site has great tutorials and great forum for support of all your questions about the product.
Here is the tutorial section http://www.digiscrapinfo.com/dsiwiki/AC ... _Tutorials

Have fun with this tool, as I am having so much fun finding new fonts to cut, cut files etc, and my collection is getting larger and larger so it is nice to know I am organized as I am finding my new files :D
It is so much easier to do it as you go along then later on. The nice thing though is you can bulk assign to categories.

I use amp font viewer and have used it with both vista and xp without problems.
I had trouble using the font thing, but others say it works great for them.

Good Luck!
