Node editing in SCAL - on an old fashioned telephone shape

Post by newbiecat »

Hi all

Made this in a bit of a hurry to answer a query on the forum - however the node editing ( about 3.57 into the video ) may be of interest to everyone using SCAL

Don't have it all figured out yet but definately interesting

Please let me know what you think

Pandora :)

edited the link = hope this one works - thank you for the comments

Pandora, the link doesn't work! Perhaps it is not totally available so I'll try again later!

I did find the video on youtube since I have subscribed to you in the past.

The video is brilliant! You've found some hidden treasures within SCAL3/eCAL that show that the software is much more robust than it appears and is beginning to rival Inkscape. Too bad the HELP hasn't been kept up but so long as we have you and all the other contributors we will share the wealth.

It is a great video. :) It helped me with some issues. I mentioned them and an additional question on your video, but others might find it helpful to have it posted here, and it seems like an extension of node editing.

How can you divide a shape into two parts, so you can discard one half? I saw a link in another thread to a video on how to do it in inkscape, but I'm loathe to try to learn another program at the moment. ;)

Any help would be great.

I did a graphic for "how to" and posted it here where more people who want to know how may find it.

Great video! Thanks so much for that great information. And, for being so concise and the point, and just getting on with the important points!
