Hello,

I am new to SCAL and wanted to know if I can scan an image or use a jpeg to cut a something from the scal??

I was directed to this forum. Thank you very much for your help

You can convert jpegs and several other file types by using the trace feature in SCAL Here is a link to the tutorials http://forums.surecutsalot.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13203
Some one else may be along soon with an explanation of how to do it, I just don't explain things well

There are some good tutorials on YouTube and on some individual blogs on how to trace an image. It really is helpful to work through tracing and learn how to use the feature. There is a learning curve but well worth it. If you need something quickly and want to upload the image someone here may be able to convert it for you depending on the type of image.
