SVG's not showing on mat

Post by Ronnie »

Hi Although I have had SCAL for a long time I have never had a problem before. I have SCAL 2 and have just purchased some halloween SVG's. Most of these files open ok and I can see them on my mat but there are two or three that when I import them they don't show on the mat. I know they are there because the colour changes in the little box to the right. I did find one that was off the mat at the bottom but I cannot find the others. Can anyone help please as I would like to get these files cut for halloween. TIA

Open the layers panel and see if it is in one of the layers. If not ungroup so you get all of the layers. I have had some images already that have had large bounding boxes around them and they are there, but not on the mat so you can't see them. Ungroup them if you see that. That might be the problem.

Go to Edit/Select all. Then, look at your properties window. Where you see H Align: click the center one to center it horizontally, and at the V, click the center one to center it vertically. This will bring your image(s) to the center of the mat, and hopefully you can see them. If you can't, down in appearance, next to fill/color make sure there's a color chosen, and that it's not transparent.
Good luck!
