Changing text

Is there any one out there that can teach me how to do this in Inkscape or scal?

Using SCAL...Take a square from the Shape Library and drag it into a rectangle over the letters you want to remove...the same as in the video, and then go to Path, Back minus Front. Then, using the T for the text, add in some text, or the T for text and then the box to the far right below the fonts...to import a font of your choice which you have saved...type the font out and size by draging a box around it and pull on the lower right handle...move into positon with the upper left handle...then Edit and Select All and Path and Union.
