Convert .png to SVG?

Post by pkstew »

I have followed the tutorial from thefrugalcrafter but when I click "update" I am not seeing my graphic, just a white box? I appreciate any help that can be provided.

I am not sure...but when I hear about a white box I think maybe you should go to View at the top and put a check mark by View outlines only.

But I don't know what and where 'update' is, so not sure if we are talking about the same thing.

To change an .png in SCAL to an image to EXPORT for an .svg... are you using TRACE? Or you must be using INK. hmmm you have to adjust the brightness cutoff settings or color if it is color .png probably.

I did not watch the tutorial, sorry.

You are probably using Inkscape 0.48. It has a bug in the trace dialog. You can try closing, then re-opening Ink and you might be able to see the preview (but don't close the preview window until you are done tracing). Or you can download and install Inkscape 0.47 from here. http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscap ... cape/0.47/
