Would like to know if there is a way to change a svg file in ink to a jpeg file?

Yes, just go to file>export bitmap.

You can do it in SCAL if you are running 2.024
Just go to file>export>type in the name of your file first and then select the file type if you don't do it in that order in comes up as an unknown file type
