Inkscape 48

Post by lindamac »

Is anyone using Inkscape 48? Do you like it? I find it to be very cumbersome. It won't show the trace until after you click ok and then it is too late but it will show the trace if you trace by colors. I'm thinking of going back to 47.

A few have gone back to using 47 over at http://www.inkscapecuttingdesign.com/ They say it has alot of nice new features but overall it just doesn't work as nicely, I never left 47 and if the smart ones don't care for it I guess I will stay put with 47 as well

I went back to 0.47. The only real advantage of 0.48 over 0.47 is that you can edit nodes on multiple Paths without needing to combine them first. Also, the files from 0.48 import blank into SCAL1. You can use Path/Union and it usually helps, but they don't always import correctly. Overall 0.48 wasn't worth the hassles to me. :(

Very interesting,,on my MAC I'm finding 0,48 LESS buggy and more stable than 047". Very different than usual. Hummmmm

I know this is late but I am still using .48 mainly because .47 didn't create .dxf files I could open in Funtime so I was mainly using .46 since May. I don't have any trouble using it except that I do find that it might me more of a memory hog that the previous versions.

Plus I find the trace is better when I paste an image into the program. I don't have as much editing to do.
