Hi there,
I want to create a shadow or background to my objects in inkscape. Does anyone know how to do this. I tried to duplicate then make bigger but with detailed objects that just doesn't work.
Thanks as always!
Courtney
Make a Shadow
Re: Make a Shadow
I don't know how too yet but I am sure one of the smart ones will be around soon. But I want to let you know that there is an Inkscape forum that helps you learn it. It is run by a couple of ladies with personal cutters who has a lot of really smart friends. Here is the link if you want to check it out

Re: Make a Shadow
You have four choices in Inkscape. Probably the easiest for beginners is to duplicate your vector then use Path/Outset until you like the size. I have a post here on my blog with the basic info on three of the options.
Here is a video by Carolyn at Cutting Time on the fourth method. http://cuttingtime.blogspot.com/2010/08 ... scape.html
