I just downloaded an alphabet from Lettering Delights and its set to a transparent background however it imports with a black background. Can anyone tell me how I might change the background to be transparent? Thank you.

Is it one of their cut files or one of their png files?

Did you ever find an answer to your question? I am having trouble with all my images showing up black on black background any time they come from scal. They show this way in file explorer and they stay that way when I try to use them on my website. ugh! help!

Sherrie, I just did a quick test, exporting something I did in SCAL this morning to show on a FB group. Anyhow, since I still had it open in SCAL, I exported as PNG with transparent background and then tested in Word, Explorer (as a extra large thumbnail, and then added to my own web site: scroll to the very bottom of this support page to see the bee: https://www.iloveknk.com/support/skycut-support-page/). In all three cases the background was white, not black.

So, here are two questions to help me help you resolve this: (1) Are you on a PC or a Mac (2) regular SCAL or SCAL Pro (3) What is the EXACT version number you're running. Go to Help>About Sure Cuts A Lot to find that exact version.

Hopefully we'll figure out what's going on!

I'm not getting the same thing and I'm testing now from SCAL4.08 Pro. So, let's try this... in SCAL4, I want you to take one of your files and go to File>Save As and then save it as a SCUT4 file. Then export using whatever settings you normally use and before exporting, take a screenshot so that I can try the exact same settings. Then email the SCUT4 file, the exported image file, and then include the screenshot and I'll see what I get. We'll get it figured out. My email is smccauley45@cox.net.
