Hi

I got my download and have been having a play. Loving the cutting!!
Somehow I just cant get the print2cut function to work.
I follow the instructions and everything is fine right up until I press cut and then a box appears stating 'There are no shapes to cut'
Can anyone help please?
Thanks

Polly, would you mind posting the file here so those of us with the software can take a look at it? If the file belongs to someone else then don't do it and post a link to the place where you got it.

Gotta be careful about copyright you know :P

Polly,

I used Image to select the .jpg image of the Santa....I assume this is what you want to print?

Did you create a shadow background around him to print? If not that is your issue I hope.

Your design should look something like this. Does it? If you didn't create the mate to cut around the santa there is nothing to cut. Maybe I'm not understanding.

Hi papasue thank you for your reply.

I didn't create a shadow background around the image, that's obviously where I'm going wrong  , thank you so much. I'm finding my way around it all and having a try at everything but I think I'm trying to run before I can walk

Ok I've tried it now but when I bring the image onto the mat to print , it comes in, in a box so when I try to create the shadow, the shadow goes around the whole box and not just the image, so again I'm doing something wrong

Is there a tutorial I could watch that would show me a step by step on how to print2cut? I did see one on the forum but it just takes you through the steps I had tried origianlly so I'm obviously missing some important info like how to bring in the image onto the mat and how to create the shadow background.
Thank you for your time :)

Polly, I did a video on how to make the mat and work with P2C.

I've only had the published version for about 10 days, but being familiar with SCAL2 I worked out a way to answer your question I hope.

See it here and get the link to the YouTube video
viewtopic.php?f=84&t=26416

Answer me there from now on. Also see that there is a board index topic just for eCAL. Please use that from now on to post your questions...it will make it alot easier to find for you, me and anyone else interested in eCAL.

Regards,

I want to buy ecal but I downloaded it first to use as a trial and it won't let me install the driver it just comes up with "Failed to install the driver. Error 536870347" I have contacted SCAL but they could take a while to respond. Anyone else have similar problems? ... I want to play!
