Appeal for words of comfort and support

Hi everyone! One of my best friend's 52 year old father was diagnosed conclusively with stage 4 terminal lung cancer this week and given 2 - 6 months, there is no treatment. Just like that. She has been really working on herself this past couple of years, after struggling with depression. She has come so far but I am really worried about this. I have been trying my best to comfort her but I have no idea what to say or do. What I thought would be a good start and something that I can actually do is ask the online world for some help. I posted something on my blog and I was hoping people could leave comments there for her and her younger sisters to go an read when they want some comfort.
