My DH built me a beautiful craft center in our home office....You can see the progress and completion in my blog
It cost less than $200 to complete (not including the thousands of dollars in craft supplies..lol)

Are those the cubes from AC Moore? It looks GREAT!
How did you get the cubes to stay on the wire racking system? I'm trying to figure out a way to hang something on the wall in my room without having to use studs (because of course they're not where I want them to be). I love the concept of how you did that!

I have no idea where the cubes came from (I got them from Craigslist for $75 including all the hardware and racks)kaesmom wrote:Are those the cubes from AC Moore? It looks GREAT!

We used 2x4's and attached those to the studs...Hung the cabinets from there....As you can see by this picture the bare bones structure is ugly but functional (and cheap).
But cover-up the bones and it looks great!
I took plywood, covered it in batting and some beautiful material and nailed it up to cover the structures. I also used cork tiles to fill in above the desk. There is also peg board on the right which I covered with the same beautiful material and poked holes in where I needed to hang pegs (which now hold my tools).

Thanks so much for the compliments
I just can not beleive I actually got it done for so cheap....I kept my eye on Craigslist and yard sales...I got the huge comfy (almost new) office chair for $15...The track lights were on clearance at Home Depot for $10...All of the cabinets and racks were $75 on Craigslist (they are actually closet organizer cabinets)
Now the hard part is keeping it clean and organized
