Re: Zing and SCAL

How do you like the Zing? I have been looking at it and it seems like a good machine. Doesn't it come with MTC software? I currently have the Gazelle but having a problem getting supplies. I would rather have a machine that has accessories readily available and I believe you can also use other blade...

Re: foiling Projects I did

Definitely gonna try with foil with PnC. I have the Gazelle and use the Funtime software for PnC with favorable results depending on the complexity of the shape. The foil will make even the simplest shape look fantastic as an emblishment.

Thank you for opening up a new avenue.

Re: foiling Projects I did

I that stamping or laser printing underneath your foiling? If laser what printer do you have? I have a ton of foil left over from when this was popular in the nineties. Would love to get back in to this. I have a hand held model myself and the foil did spruce up the paper. Might have to pull my stu...

Re: Under a Cherry Tree Cutter Reviews.

I love my Gazelle. I have only used the Cricut machines and the Gazelle cuts rings around the Cricut. If you don't invest time to learn the machine and the software, one might not appreciate it. It has cut everything I have put under the blade and I really love the way it cuts clay. The next machine...

Re: Bosskut Gazelle and Scal

I have a Gazelle and I have SCAL3 but I don't see an option to import .wpc files. On my version of SCAL, they don't even show up as readable files. How are you importing them?

.....Zing E-Clips Cameo I can only think of a couple right now[/quote] @ Butterfly...I see you have the Zing. How do you like it? I have looked at it on the Papercut site and I see that it has 750g pressure so I'm wondering if you have cut any thicker medium and your opinion of the cut. I think this...

Re: SCAL v1 won't recognize svg files??

If you can post the file or the link where it can be downloaded if you don't want to post, I can check it and let you know what the problem is for future reference.

Re: printing

I just selected the layer for the lettering, then clicked on File>Print. Since I only have a B&W printer at work but I think the lettering was the simulated color because it printed very light...black would have printed dark. HTH Althea PS - Love this file so hope you don't mind me scraplifting ...

Re: SCAL v1 won't recognize svg files??

That problem might be resolved by selecting the svg and using Path>Combine in Inkscape. Different versions of SCAL handle svg differently with SCAL1 being the most tempermental.
