Most cutters require a calibration be performed in order to be precise on both width (belt resolution) and length (wheel resolution). You can! Go to View>Snap to>Objects. As you drag one shape over to another, slow down a bit and the shape you're moving will snap to the edge of the other. You can also drag up/down (or left/right) to align Top/Bottom (or Left/Right) with that other shape, as well.
