Re: SCAL vs Make the Cut
Well, I must admit, I own SCAl 1, SCAL 2 and now MTC. Let me start by saying that I like both programs, but as only a normal computer user, I find MTC easier to use. I dislike the interface of SCAL...I could never get the boxes to line up right on my computer and it drove me nuts..to many boxes all ...

Re: USB Driver install error **Solved**
This is a cricut issue....cricut has not updated their drivers to be compatible with windows 7 yet. It seems to only be an issue with those using windows 7 on a 64 bit computer. Here is a link that will fix the problem for you. It worked on two of my friends computers with this same issue. Good luck...

Re: Problems with Cricut Expression and SCAL on Windows 7
Hey, I know the answer to this one! Woo hoo! LOL. It's nice to be able to help once in awhile. <grin> This is actually a problem with the drivers for the cricut. Windows 7 on a 64 bit computer doesn't "install" them correctly. Works ok on a Windows 7 32 bit, but not the 64. Here is the lin...

Re: Can Someone Tell Me...
This is actually a flaw in the upgrades of SCAL. In SCAL 1, we hardly ever had this issue (as a matter of fact, many fonts still work in SCAL1 that won't work in SCAL 2 now. I've sent a few to Todd but haven't heard back from then since I sent them the fonts that didn't work.) However, since the upg...

Re: Flash drive?
I've heard of people installing SCAL on an external hard drive and all of their files too so that they could use it on any computer they wanted just by plugging in the external hard drive. It will use one of your licenses, but makes it more portable. If any one here has done that, please jump in! He...

Re: With 2.012 Updates: Can we ??
You can already do this in SCAL. The catch is, you have to have your "frame" already created and then brought it as it's own SVG. Once the frame is in, you can attach your words using the weld or union function and voila....one frame with words in it. Kay has a font on her site that has fr...

Re: why should i purchase scal?
Hi. Just so you know, you should also check out the Make the Cut (MTC) program. I am a SCAL user, but many people have and like the new MTC program also. I would look into both before buying one and then make your decision on which one to buy. They both do basically the same thing so you really don'...

Re: where to get ATG gun
I got mine from The Tape Depot. They now sell on ebay. Mine is an ATG 50 and I love it. I've had it for around a year and it takes several sizes of tape without an adapter like the scotch brand. I just got an email today from ebay saying that they are having a 10% off sale this month so jump to ebay...
