Re: Importing from Illustrator

When you click on 'save as' .svg in Illustrator you have to untick the box which says ' maintain Illustrator effects' ( or something similar as mine is in Italian!) in the menu window that pops up.
The file will then import perfectly to SCAL.

Re: Problem with Inkscape.......

I've had a look at the file and no matter what I do it still has that quirk! It just doesn't like those shoes - I've even tried moving them to a different part of the page but they still end up there! Maybe you could make two separate files and import them one at a time - could be a memeory thing. S...

Re: it cut a line right through my design

SCAL trial cuts lines through everything - SCAL full version doesn't.
Some people have had problems after updating DS - follow the above instructions and you should be OK.

Re: 0.46 now ready for download

Not the TTF fonts - the dingbat type fonts. If they don't work for you try opening them in Paint, saving as jpeg them importing to Inkscape and tracing them.

Re: questions about how an inkscape file imports into SCAL

Hi Tammie, SCAL is a program that will let you use the fonts and dingbats you have on your pc, manipulate them and let you cut them with your Cricut. Re: Paintshop Pro verus Inkscape

so the answer would be yes - you need both! I have PSP X2 and it will read but not save as .svg. svg is a vector format PSP isn't a vector drawing program. XARAwill save as .svg as will Illustrator. The easiest thing to do and the one which gives the best results is to prepare your images in PSP, sa...

Brief 'how to' gsd to SCAL using pdf file and Inkscape

This is for those members who have access to gsd templates and want to turn them into cutting files for SCAL. Remember that you have to eliminate any fold or detail lines first as SCAL will cut everything it finds! This mini tut assumes that you have a basic working knowledge of Robomaster, Inkscape...
