The ravie font you posted is a OTF, but with TTF outlines so that it is backwards compatible.But something still puzzles me, the downloads I posted come up as TTFs for me

As long as you don't tell them, they won't know about your use of SCAL. It's not really any different than printing with 3rd party software and their drivers, which I am sure many of us do. If I were planning to use both DS and SCAL, I'd install them on different machines to avoid any issues with PC...

You can make a flower one in a word document, using text boxes to position other than on a line (even overlapping text boxes)The only thing I hate about this site is that you can only do words and numbers. I would love to do flowers.
and then 'print' as a pdf using cute pdf writer.

Question........ how the heck does it work, haha! You put the fonts in a folder in a place you can find them, and if they're zipped fonts, unzip them. Open AMP font viewer and the ones in folders will show up under the 'not installed' tab; the ones that are installed show up under the 'installed' t...

I use AMP font viewer.
It is both XP and vista compatible (I've used it with both).
