1. Try it and see.
2. Probably not. Unless 2.3x is available as a selection in the drop down menu when you go to cut.
3. I highly doubt it. SCAL 1 is ancient now. And 2.34 is fairly new.

I'm using SCAL 2 2.044 with CCR which upgraded the Expression's firmware to 2.43. All is working fine. SCAL only lets you select as having up to firmware 2.3x. Again, all is working fine.
