Re: scal 2 cutting a straight line down the side of page
Sorry, I don't think I've heard of that one before. I would look at anything new in your setup first, but it's possible that either your Cricut's USB port or brain are going bad. I haven't kept up with Cricut changes, but is there a Provo Craft option (without updating your firmware) to cut with you...

Re: Newbie Frustration
There have been no legitimate copies of SCAL2 available since May 2011. If you recently purchased it you should try to get your money back since it was a bootleg copy and a fraudulent sale.

Re: Sizzix Eclipse Blade Settings/Ecal2 tutorials
Like Susan said, I pretty much just set my blade depth and then select the material I'm cutting from the print dialog. Start with a blade setting of 3 and then adjust it lower or higher to get good consistent cuts without digging into your mat more than necessary.

Re: can we upgrade to sure cuts alot version 4?
I would contact Craft Edge directly with this. They did have a grace period for upgrades in the past so maybe they will this time too. http://www.craftedge.com/support/support_form.php

Re: Question about activation
Obviously, if your hard drive crashed you can't do it, but any time you are either getting rid of a computer or un-installing you should de-activate SCAL so that you don't run out of activations. Current versions have this in the Help menu. It can be done for older versions too, but they have differ...

Re: I have mess up
Go to this Craft Edge page and give them the e-mail that you used either to purchase it or register it: http://www.craftedge.com/support/lostserial.php The serial number will be sent to that e-mail address. If you need the program you can request that with your serial # here: http://www.craftedge.co...

Re: Scoring lines
I just tried this with a random svg and the newest version of SCAL3 (3.069b) and it did let me change the line to a dashed line. Select the layers with the score lines and change the line style to the dashed line that you want. The other option is to group all of the score lines together and then cu...

Re: Re-opening a saved file in SureCutsALot2
When you open SCAL it will show a box with the version number for a short time while it is loading. You can also find it in the SCAL menu. Another possibility is that the files don't have the correct association with them. Probably easiest for you to look that up for your computer OS.

Re: Re-opening a saved file in SureCutsALot2
What version of SCAL2 do you have? You might need to update to the final release which was 2.043 or 2.044 if I remember correctly.
