Re: SCAL 4 Training
I've just completed a 200 page SCAL4 user manual that's part of the KNK Zing user manual. It is very detailed and covers all functions in SCAL4. You can download it from the following link: http://www.iloveknk.com/support/user-manuals/zing-user-manuals/ Part of the UM is for operating the KNK Zing, ...

Re: Possible to outline text
To directly answer your question... here's how I would do it. Create the text. Select it and go to Effects>Shadow Layer and create the desired outline. Select both and go to Effects>Knockout. Select the desired GAP between the original and outline. (Note: save your file before using this last step a...

Re: Weed box
Just to clarify... do you own SCAL PRO and using Effects>Weeding to create the weeding box? If so, then you just increase the setting that's up on the Tool Options bar.

Re: SCAL 4 Print & Cut Question
It's not as straight forward as it is in MTC. But there are ways to accomplish it. First, what is your goal in separating the images? Is it because there are some that you don't want to use at all? If that's the case, then in the Trace Image window, use the crop icon to narrow in on just the part of...

Rudolph Popup Gift Tag
I made 16 of these for a local swap. The paper piecing can be a bit tedious, so I also included PNC options for Rudolph's head on the front.

Re: Rhinestone size cuts too tight
From the SCAL user manual that I'm currently writing... The circle size selected will need to be larger than the stone size you purchase. As a general rule, select a size three numbers larger than your stones. Thus, if you purchased SS10 stones, then in the rhinestone design window, you would sele...

Re: Help!!! Cutting size is not accurate
First, I'm assuming you are using the W: and H: dimensions shown on the Size & Position Panel in SCAL. Then, if the actual size doens't match the W and the H, then go to Cutter>Cutter Settings and the Resolution can be adjusted for your cutter. If you've not changed those settings, they should read ...

Re: GCC Expert II
I recommend looking up in the user manual how to get the driver installed. Once your computer recognizes it as a USB device connected to a COM Port, then you should be able to get it working. Did you buy this cutter new? If so, then your GCC dealer should help you with this part. If not, then seek o...

Re: GCC Expert II
Did you confirm that you're assigning the same COM Port in the SCAL Cut Settings window that currently works with whatever cutting program you can currently use to cut to the Expert II?
