Re: SCAL5 Cricut 48"

If you have your entire design within the boundaries of that custom on-screen mat, then the answer is most likely no. Firmware on a cutter often contains the limitations of the cutter versus the cutting software.

Re: opening SCUT files

This is rather bizarre. You have two choices: (1) You can try submitting a support ticket first to see what the developer recommends. Perhaps he has seen this before: http://craftedge.com/support/support_form.php (2) Reinstall.... Updating to the latest version of whatever SCAL you own. You might wa...

Re: opening SCUT files

Nothing at all has changed that would cause files to suddenly not appear. If you do a Ctrl+A do you see something selected? Maybe the Fill is turned off or the Opacity or the Workspace Alpha? Maybe try adding a colored shape from the Library... does that show up?

Re: SCAL5 Pro and Multiple Registration Marks

Well, if you ever do need that functionality, look into a Skycut. While I've developed a method for how to print from SCAL and then import the PLT file directly onto the Skycut for scanning of the marks and cutting, it's actually much easier, for this particular function, to use a program called Sig...

Re: Does anyone here use SVG for car decals

Any SVG file that matches what you're wanting to make will work. While there are many different theme categories here, you never know, until you download and open a free file if it's something along the lines of what you want or not. The members here come from many different "worlds"... some do car ...

Re: SCAL5 Pro and Multiple Registration Marks

I don't think it has the ability to utilize intermediate registration, does it? Have you seen a video on it? Does your SB dealer say that it can?

Re: SCAL5 Pro and Multiple Registration Marks

Somehow, I missed your post. The answer is yes and no. I developed a way to add them for printing only from SCAL for those cutters that can do a contour cut process within the cutter itself, if needed... for example, the Skycut cutters. You add the marks, print the project, and then export the files...

Re: 2nd Expression

I'm not an expert on Cricuts, but the first thing I would do is just test it out with a simple shape. I doubt if you can have both Expressions plugged in at once via USB. So, maybe start with a very quick simple shape and verify it works with your original Expressions. Then unplug that one, plug in ...

Re: Cameo 3 Auto Blade Help w/SCAL5

Assuming you definitely still have Autoblade selected in the Cut Settings window, then it's possibly a mechanical issue with the second Cameo 3. Can you take it back home and test it with whatever computer is cutting to your first Cameo 3? Or take your first Cameo 3 to work and test the same file th...

Re: Cameo 3 Auto Blade Help w/SCAL5

It's my understanding AutoBlade functionality is specific to Silhouette Studio and the firmware inside the Cameo 3 and 4. SCAL isn't able to access that functionality thus the blade exposure needs to be manually set.
