Re: One More Question

wreed - I actually went through the design and removed some nodes and cleaned up a lot of areas. If you zoom in and then click on the nodes selection, you can really see how sometimes the design is somewhat jaggedy. I like to smooth out those lines. You have to be careful when removing nodes because...

Re: Cutting beyond the parameters

dcp - I thought I had forced it off the mat, but it cut on the dashed line on 3 sides and it cut the scalloped edge. All I wanted was one side to be a 12" scalloped edge.

Re: Makes me want too.

Hi and welcome to the boards. This is by far one of the friendliest and helpful boards I've been on. SCAL is a great software. You'll love it.

Re: One More Question

I think it was high; definitely not maximum. The cuts were so intricate and it was a full page, so I wasn't sure what speed to put it on. It was a lightweight cardstock.

Re: Cutting beyond the parameters

Actually, you did answer my question. I just made it more difficult than it needed to be. Thanks again.

Hi again. I did let it continue to cut. I'm just not very comfortable letting some electrical things continue to run when I leave the house. It was still cutting when I got back. It took about 50 minutes to cut! I don't think I'll be cutting that pattern out again. It was a test and it just wasn't w...

Re: Cutting beyond the parameters

I guess I still can't explain clearly what I was trying to do. All I wanted was one scalloped 12" side, so I tried to extend the cutting line beyond the mat on the other three sides, but it still cut inside the line all the way around and left me with 11 1/2" on three sides with the one si...

Re: Cutting beyond the parameters

I knew I wasn't making myself clear. So let me ask a simple question. Does SCAL only cut up to 11 1/2" long, wide, whatever? It won't cut a true 12"; right? Thanks to those who tried to answer my "convoluted" question.
