Re: User Manual

Thanks. That is helpful and I never even knew it was there. It has good basic information in it. Would like some more advanced info too.

Like what is the difference between Path-Union and Group?? It seems they do the same thing.

User Manual

I would like to have a downloadable user manual!!! All of the tutorials are great, but I wish they were all in 1 place with an index!!! When I have a question about something or can't figure something out, it takes me forever to try to find a tutorial to help me.

But when I click weld, I loose the inside of my letters---like a lower case a--in the preview the middle of the a is not there, so when it cuts it will not have the center piece...what am I doing wrong? Re: Selecting different areas of your design--Question

thanks. I ended up working backwards, from the text I had on the inside on a layer and then copying it into the square, I just figured there had to be an easier way! I will try your idea about counting the clicks--that seems logical!

Selecting different areas of your design--Question

Re: How do you keep your svg files organized?

I keep mine in files labeled with "chirstmas/winter, heart, flourish" etc....just like you said, but I also try to keep a jpeg or screenshot of the file in the same folder so I can see what they are without opening SCAL. Just a thought. I just name them the same thing. Seems to help me kno...

Re: question re:scal2

I did not uninstall SCAL1. I just upgraded using my serial # which meant I only had to pay $35 for SCAL2. I still have SCAL 1 on my computer though I don't know why you would need it. When I upgraded and downloaded, it loaded a whole new program and icon on my desktop. I've only had 2 since Thursday...
