I saw on a friend's blog, that she was extolling the new shapes and functionality of SCAL 2, particularly the swirl shapes in the basic library. I don't see swirls in any of the categories. Is this something that was added during the taking down of 2.013 and restoring 2.012 to the download? Do I nee...

I'm having exactly the same problem - SCAL is going all wacko, opening and closing it's screens, then going all blue, then moving the mat and splitting it, and eventually freezing. Going back to 2.012. I learned the hard way to keep every version in its own folder.

Sorry - also, a .scut file & a .cut file are two entirely different things. ".cut" files are made by Cricut Design Studio, and ".scut" files are made by SCAL. Hope this helps.

Hi Stormi,

I'm fairly new, but I thought that .scut files were .svg files that had been saved in SCAL. You don't have to import a .scut file: in SCAL, just click on 'File' - 'Open Project', and go to where you have it saved on your computer. It opens on the virtual cutting mat.
