Re: SCAL on more than one computer?

I have SCAL2 on my desktop.I would like to take off there and put it on my wifes laptop.
She has a different email account,I don't know if that is relevant. Can I deactivate it on
my computer, and load it on hers? I do have the original cd,and have never changed
the number.

Re: heat presses

I have 2 presses. One 10x12,and one 16x24. Standard household irons might work for lowend transfer paper, but i found them not very reliable for heat vinyl and quality transfers. Cheap inkjet transfers will not last.I use a 2 part laser transfer, sublimation and heat vinyl. I made about 70 shirts in t...

Need Think Pink sticker

I am looking for "think pink" designs to use for window stickers.
I need it for use on 1 color vinyl (pink). Anyone have a nice
design to share. This is strictly for my families use,and not
sold. Thanks

Re: need new computer ??? ** NEW QUESTION

Hard drives are cheap nowdays. If you go for a laptop, most hard drives will bw 250 or 320 gig. Some will have 500 gig,but will operate at lower rpms,so will be slower. Desktops are even cheaper to add storage. You can keep the drive it comes with and add a 1 tb (1000 gig) drive for about $90. As for ...

Re: need new computer ???

I disagree on Windows 7 and Toshiba. I was an IT manager for a university for 30+ years, until 2 years ago. I was in charge of over 1000 computers. We were beta testers for Vista, but only installed it on the test machines. After the tests were over, we put XP back on those systems. I now am semi-reti...

Re: Transfer tape size?

I got my samples in about 1 week. They didn't amount to much though. I got the chart,951M (metallic) and 5700 reflective film. A while back American Biltrite sent me some Transfer Rite Ultra clear transfer tape. They sent a 25 yard spool of 6" and 24". I like the clear, but use the paper Apl...

Re: Having an awful time withweeding/cutting and Oracal 631

The best thing to do is cut a simple project at the different settings,to see what works best with your machine and vinyl. Oracal 631 is a breeze to weed, wait until you try some of the foil type vinyls. They are a real pain! On the other hand, some of the high performance vinyls (cast) almost weed the...

Re: Having an awful time withweeding/cutting and Oracal 631

First, you don't need to use the deep cut blade.
As for settings,I use 3,3,3. Others use different
settings. Also,you might try a new blade.Depending
on how small the cuts are,you could try a 60 degree
blade.

Re: Inkscape and or adobe illistrator

I posted the link I did, because it is the company that developed inkscape.
While your there, check out their forums. There are some great examples of
what can be done with inkscape.
