Ok, seems as if someone else is having the same problems. Maybe someone from craftedge can help us here?

I'm noticing that when it took longer to freeze when i first started but then it kept freezing more quickly as time went on. It's really weird. My hubby is a computer wiz and has all the updates, scans, virus protections, etc etc, loaded here. He can't figure it out either. I assumed it was a glitch...

We have it automatically set up to update.
It just happened a few times again. So frustrating! Do you think maybe there is a time limit to how long i can use the software before it shuts down?

Ok, i followed your instructions and unfortunately, it happened again. What happens is; the top right of the screen turns black (where the tools are), the drop down arrows turn into 6's, and if i try to type in the window, another window pops up but no letters. It just all goes haywire and needs to ...

Thank you for responding. Yes, i have all of that and i've also rebooted my computer before opening up scal2. It still freezes, even when it's the only program running. I also run spybot every so often to get rid of the garbage that sneaks in the backround. It's a mystery to me.

me too and when i work on a project it keeps freezing on me to the point where i have to close it out and restart. All of a sudden, the dropdown boxes turn into black 6's and the tool bar disappears and some other freaky things go on.

You know what ended up working? I clicked on the text tool (A) on the left and was able to type that way. There was even a drop down menu to change the font as well. I'm not sure if that worked cuz i went through the steps above or if it's just another way of working!

When i opened the window again, the font was selected (from my selection before) and so was default. But the apply button is not highlighted. What do i do?

I clicked on the text option on tool bar and then the first option. A box came up and i chose the font, etc. My problem is that the APPLY button is not highlighted for me to click on. This is my first time using this tool as i've only really imported images.
