Thanks, all! The reinforcers are important. :D

Re: creating 6' x 7' cutout???? HELP!

Sorry about that -- didn't have eCAL open at the time and didn't remember correctly what the menu item was called. With both items selected (the "hole" SVG and the slim rectangle on top of it) go to the Path menu and select "Back Minus Front". This will "subtract" the r...

Re: creating 6' x 7' cutout???? HELP!

I'm not good with closing paths either, but if I were approaching this I might overlay very thin rectangles (see red bars in the photo) on top of the whole path and then do a "subtract" action, several times? It looks like you could cleanly split it into six parts...

Does this image help, at all? You could easily import and then trace with (mostly) right-angles.

Re: Roland blades in the eClips, and Advanced Settings in eC

Re: Roland blades in the eClips, and Advanced Settings in eC

Mitsim - it's not a matter of saving "a few pennies"; it would simply be nice to use a steeper angled blade and cut tougher material -- thus my trying the regular 60-degree Rolands.

FWIW, Craft Edge support wrote me back and was very helpful.

Roland blades in the eClips, and Advanced Settings in eCAL

The Roland-compatible blades that can be easily obtained all over the place online fit in the eClips holder, but are 1mm longer (24 vs. 23 mm) and the recessed part of the blade is a bit thinner in diameter. Does anyone know what settings should be made here, to get good cuts with the Roland blades ...

Can die-cut machines cut pages of solid text? Is it possible to rent time on die-cut machines at craft stores the way you can for computers at Kinkos? Do any machines or their software allow for skewing font slightly up/down (i love how the lines aren’t too perfect) or would i just print lines of t...
