Re: Sure Cuts A Lot 4 Released for Windows & Macintosh

as I see it this is a new version not an upgrade and when you pass from version to version you pay for it; if you already have Scal3 then you pay a reduced price as someone said of $19,99.

SCAL app for iPad

I've installed the SCAL app on my iPad and I'm having quite a few problems .. if I try shapes then path/ union or any sort of modify it crashes . When I first tried it it seemed okay now it's very difficult to use and many commands just don't work. I have to be away from from home for a while and th...

If you use simplify then you can sometimes lose definition, select the outline you want to modify then go to Offset click on the offset option and put your value to 0 .. voil...

Re: NEWSFLASH!!!

So sad - some people really don't have a life. Years ago on another Forum I spoke my mind about a topic which to me was well within the realms of free speech and which offended noones' religion, credo, country, race etc, something quite innocuous and I received loads of positive comments from people...

Re: Cricut cutting issues - HELP!!!!

As it's quite a basic design you could create it directly in SCAL using the drawing tools and basic shapes and make it the size you want. When I take my designs from Inkscape to SCAL I first make a note of the measurements in Inkscape then check and adjust them in SCAL, I never trust importing 'as i...

Re: Cuttlebug vs. Cricut

I don't think this is quite the same thing, really. Encouraging people to buy the CB because it works with third party dies is a marketing strategy - having one machine which will cut different makes of die is a much more attractive product than one which limits you to just dies from that manufactur...

Re: Making a word book using inkscape and scal

Hi there, here's a video for you. http://dan99.blogspot.com/2009/01/video-tutorial-creating-word-books-in.html before beginning on a project like this though make sure you know where you're going, and familiarise yourself with the basic Inkscape commands, otherwise you spend more time looking at the...

Re: Lock and Keys

Sorry I know I'm being a wet blanket, but if the file is called Accucut keys then this is exactly what they are; so you do know where they come from.. the files I've seen you've posting recently are all traces off the Accucut die web site and as such breaches of copyright! As a designer I hate to se...
