Re: My cut file isn't cutting where it's positioned on mat

I was using Origin Point, thanks for the suggestion, I forgot all about WYSIWYG! One of those headsmack moments....

Can you explain your other question though please? I don't know what the laser light is.

Thanks!

Incomplete cuts, random ends not meeting

MacBook Pro 10.10.5 (Yosemite), SCAL 3.075, 24" Silver Bullet I design outside SCAL and bring my designs into SCAL for cutting. I've checked to make sure all nodes are connected and they are. Randomly, throughout my design are little tails where it looks like the blade lifted before finished th...

My cut file isn't cutting where it's positioned on mat

MacBook Pro v10.10.5 (Yosemite), SCAL 3.075, 24" Silver Bullet cutter. I've noticed this issue before and it is frustrating. I do my designing outside SCAL and import my finished SVG file into SCAL. When I place it on the mat for example at X0.25/Y0.25 (1/4" border around outside) it cut a...

Re: End cuts not meeting up

Hi Sandy, I've updated our SCAL3 to 3.075 as per advice on the SB forums. I've been using 0.30mm offset and a .05mm overcut for the past 5 years on these files and it's been just fine, although if you think it should be different, any advice is gladly accepted! I've found more than one file with the...

End cuts not meeting up

I've been using my 24" Silver Bullet for the last 6 years, same cut files, same program SCAL3.062, same MacBook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.5. All of the sudden I have one particular file where randomly, some ends are not meeting up. It doesn't happen in the same place twice--just here and there...

SCAL3 on Mac 10.5.8?

Hi All, I'm wondering if I can use my iMac (intel) OS10.5.8 with SCAL 3? I looked at the original info which said you could use SCAL3 on OS 10.5-10.8, but the latest download says 10.6-10.8. The reason I ask is that I've installed the current version and when I open it, it immediately crashes. I've ...

Re: SCUT3 saving files as SCUT2

Hi Gaz, They are indeed SCUT2 files to begin with, but the dropdown menu gives me the choice of format as: scut3 or All files. I choose scut3 and it leaves the scut2 tag on it. BUT....I tried an experiment and made a duplicate of a file and changed the tag to scut3 and while it gave me a warning tha...

SCUT3 saving files as SCUT2

Hi,
I've upgraded to SCUT 3 from SCUT2 and for some reason, when I do Save Project As... and ask it to save as an SCUT3 file, it saves it as SCUT2. Why?

My circles are cutting as octagons...why?

I'm making some sheets with several sizes of solid dots. My 1/4" dots are fine and perfect round (4 nodes)...but my 3/16" and 1/8" dots (also 4 nodes each) are cutting more like a soft octagon instead of round. Can someone help me figure out why? Are those 2 sizes just too small for t...

Re: SCAL on more than one computer?

If I have one computer that is not going to be connected to the internet, will I still be able to install and run the SCAL software on it? I often work on one with no internet in my craft room but it would pointless to install it there if it needs the net to work.
Thank you!!
